Two thirds of the Parry Sound Area's jobs are in the tourism sector. 

Through the Regional Economic Development Advisory Committee's efforts, the Town of Parry Sound works to attract new development to the area.  As the regional economic hub, Parry Sound boasts a variety of retail and services businesses.
