Like a big 18-wheeler barreling down across the border, The Road Hammers are an unstoppable musical force, bound and determined to deliver a trailer load of the toughest, coolest, realest country music to come down that southbound pike in a long, long time. In 2005, the band was nominated for six CCMA awards and walked away with the trophy for Group or Duo of the Year.

Pure raw amazing talent is what has garnered Canada's own Serena Ryder such great success and genuine accolades so early in her career. Ryder earned a Canadian GOLD record, the 2008 JUNO Award for New Artist of the Year, and several other awards. "Weak in the Knees' earned her a GOLD Single award.
The Parry sound Summer Market, featuring local artisans, fresh produce, smoked meats, preserves and hot sausage on a bun.
The Market is located in the centre of downtown Parry Sound in beautiful Market Square Park, located just behind the Post Office and will operate every Tuesday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm from June 30 until September 1, 2009.

The Bobby Orr Hall of Fame 1st Annual Triathlon will take place along the beautiful vistas of the Town of Parry Sound. The course will feature the traditional swim course, in the clean deep waters of Georgian Bay, a beautiful but challenging bike course, as well as a breathtakingly scenic run course.
The Triathlon, sponsored by the Town of Parry Sound, M & M Meats and Bialkowski Trysport, will offer two events: A race for non-competitive participants and a standard race for the more competitive participant. Race Kit pick up will be at the Hall of Fame from 11:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Tri-Try distances: Swim - 350m, Bike - 8.6km, Run - 2.5km
Sprint distances: Swim - 750m, Bike - 23km, Run - 7.5km

The Downtown Business Association and the Town of Parry Sound will once again host free concerts at the Town Dock.
Each Wednesday night for the months of July and August from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. (weather permitting).
