The Town of Parry Sound By-law Enforcement Department will be going door to door commencing August 15, 2012, to update the municipal Dog Licence database.
The Town of Parry Sound By-law 2003-4619 being a by-law to regulate Dogs in the Town of Parry Sound states:
No person shall within the Town of Parry Sound own any dog over the age of six (6) months without first having obtained a license for the dog and registering the dog with the issuer of licences.
Please be advised failure to procure said license could result in a $125.00 fine.

2011 - 2014 Town of Parry Sound Strategic Plan

Council has approved a new Strategic Plan that will guide the municipality for the next four years. The Plan is the result of a number of public consultations/open house meetings where residents provided input into the vision and strategic priorities.

HELPING KIDS PLAY FOUNDATION
The Helping Kids Play Foundation is a Parry Sound and Area Community Project supporting kids participation in organized sport, recreation and cultural activities.
It was established in Parry Sound in 1994 to provide needy children with an opportunity to participate in sporting and recreational activities by providing money for registration and/or equipment. In 2005 Helping Kids Play Foundation partnered with Canadian Tire JumpStart program giving all kids a sporting chance.
