“VOLUNTARY BLACKOUT DAY” is a community challenge from Black Out Day Group and the Ontario Power Authority, THE POWER PLEDGE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE.  The goal is reduce energy use and raise awareness of the importance of electrical energy in our society on the anniversary of the Norther American, August 14 2003,  power system blackout.

Turn your lights off and power down on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. - VOLUNTARY BLACKOUT DAY.
