Leisure Services is a core service and is offered through the Department of Economic Development and Leisure Services.

Leisure Services strengthens non-profit and volunteer community groups and organizations by providing them with support services through the Community Affiliation Plan, Municipal Assistance Program and the Joint Use Agreement.

The Town of Parry Sound recognizes and appreciates the relationship between a healthy community and an active volunteer base and works with these groups to provide training  and volunteer networking opportunities, and assistance with the delivery of special events.

Public Skating

Public skating is a good way for the family to spend time together and get excercise at the same time.

We offer public skating most Saturdays at the Bobby Orr Community Centre 2009 - 2010 BOCC Public Skating Schedule and at the outdoor rink at Kinsmen Park Kinsmen Outdoor Rink Skating Schedule.

Please check back for the Kinsmen Park schedule which will be posted once the rink is ready.  This schedule allows for times for public skating as well a friendly non-competitive game of hockey.

Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing  Arts and Bobby Orr Hall of Fame

The Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts and Bobby Orr Hall of Fame is the Parry Sound Area's foremost entertainment centre, featuring year-round concerts, theatre, book readings and Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Museum.  The Stockey Centre is great for private rentals as well, including birthday parties.  For more information, link to www.stockeycentre.com or www.bobbyorrhalloffame.com.
