The Animal Control Bylaw contains many provisions to support a community where pets, their owners and neighbours live in harmony.
Responsible Pet Owners:
- choose the right pet
- understand the benefits of spaying/neutering
- provide proper pet care
- ensure their pets vaccinations are up to date
- prevent disruptive pet behaviour
- COMPLY WITH PARRY SOUND’S ANIMAL RELATED BY-LAWS.
It pays to be responsible!
Did you know that being irresponsible pet owner can be costly? Pet owners found to be in violation of Parry Sound’s By-laws may be subject to fines or prosecution? If their pet is picked up by By-law Enforcement Department, owners will have to pay impounding fees of $50.00/day and or a $50.00 Animal Control Service Fee.
